About
Our Chef
Our Chef, Herb Dreyer, born in the small coastal town of Santa Barbara,
California to a cooking family--his father was a professional cook and
his mother was a Kentucky farm girl who learned to cook on a wood burning
stove.
As a young boy, the chef has traveled over a large part of America.
During these travels he was fortunate to sample seasonal American foods
grown and cooked by a wide variety of family and friends. Growing up
with this experience, like no other, provided the background for the
chefs love of American foods--especially heirloom vegetables grown in
small farm or a family garden.
From there it was all up. The chef was educated at Reed College in Portland,
Oregon. When he was a teenager he wrote a book on zoology and while
science is important to the chef, his love of cooking re-found him--by
accident!
When he did catch back up with his love of cooking he never looked back--it
was like coming home (well, maybe a few looks back).
His food has been reviewed by some of the finest and toughest food critics
and , of course, his family and customers.
We serve artisan foods for healthy eating at their best and all our
reviewers say our food is "delicious".
